Why do you launch a refill delivery service for shampoo, gel, detergents,…?
We want to offer a service to people who want to help the environment a step at a time while still offering ease of use.
What is the difference between shampoo, cosmetics refill station we find in stores and your service?
Convenience. We really like the refill station in stores. However we want to offer an easier alternative when it is not convenient to bring empty bottles back at the store.
Do you refill all kind of home care, hair, skin care products?
At this stage we are only starting a limited range of shampoo, shower gel, detergents and certain cosmetics. As the time goes we will expand our offering based on the feedback of our customers.
What sort of shampoo, liquid gel, dish washing, detergents, cosmetics do you refill?
As the number of product items we carry on a bike is limited, we try to have 3 options
– 1 refill Eco-friendly/organic range
– 1 refill performance branded range
– 1 refill value range
If I don’t have any recipients do you provide them?
We do. Sometimes you may not have any existing recipients, or the ones you have are not the best ones for refill, so we offer a small range of 500 ml refill bottles for you shampoo, soap, detergents.
Are you anti plastic?
Actually we are not, not in those black and white terms at least. They are different kind of plastic with different usages and applications.
-When lighter plastic materials are used in cars to reduce their weight and therefore reduce consumption, we think it is important.
– When you can create a 3D machine lab in villages, to create plastic prosthetic limbs for amputees, we think it is a great.
However we also understand we urgently need to reduce plastic usage, improve how we recycle it and how to better reuse it. And this is on this third point we want to intervene.
– By reducing the need for cosmetic, skin, hair care plastics containers. We prefer you use a better quality plastic bottle for your shampoo that can be refill several times.
Do you still use plastic for your containers?
We do. As an organisation we are not anti plastic. We actually think it is a very good material for a number of applications. We are just trying to reduce its usage when it is not necessary. For instance, carrying our small tank of liquid detergents in heavier glass container rather than plastic container would make us consume more electricity on our bikes, and would be very dangerous both for our bike drivers and pedestrians.
However we want to send back our plastic tanks to our shampoo, soap, cosmetics partner manufacturers so they can be clean, and refill as well.

What don’t you promote solid shampoo, soap?
At the moment we focus on liquid shampoo and soap because we personally find it more convenient and our preferred products. However we might add a range of solid shampoo and soap in the future.
Are you environmentally active organisation?
No, and we make sure we stay a tolerant organisation, where we respect the choice of each individual person. Our aim is to make it a bit easier for people who want to reduce their consumption of plastic when it is not necessary.
What about hygiene & safety?
Hygiene and safety is key for the love refill team. Refilling shampoo and cosmetics that are in contact with our hair & skin require a perfect control of the hygiene processes and standards. This is why we work with hygiene specialists to develop our offering.
– For instance we will never mix 2 different shampoos together.
– Our system is designed to prevent contamination from one bottle to the other. In short the aperture of the bottle you bring us will never touch any of our equipment.
